Animal Rescue
Welcome!
Staten Island Hope Animal Rescue specializes in the rescue and placement of abused, unwanted and abandoned companion animals. We never discriminate on the basis of health, age or breed. By involving and educating the community, Staten Island Hope Animal Rescue hopes to raise the public's awareness of the difficulty homeless animals face,
as well as realizing the benefits of adopting an animal in need.
We believe that all living creatures deserve to be treated with consideration and respect. All of our rescue animals will be treated as if they are family. Our animals are examined, vaccinated, spayed or neutered and receive any and all medical treatment before they are placed in carefully screened homes.

Trap, Neuter and Return

TNR requires minimal time and effort but the first step is becoming TNR certified. What that means is that you would have to attend a workshop either online or locally for a few hours to learn how to safely trap and assist with the spay/neutering process. These programs are setup so that residents can help these animals on their own without the help of rescues.
Feral cat
Fosters Needed
We are in dire need of volunteers for fostering cats and kittens! Taking care of them for a little while will give them a chance to find a great home.
Cleaners Needed
Petco store cleaners are in high demand! We do weekly store cleaning to help these animals stay happy and healthy. We need your help to do this! We are currently in need of volunteers for Friday afternoon.
Staten Island Hope Rescue
TEAM
Without volunteers, Rescues and Animal Shelter's would not exist. Volunteers donate their time, talent, and money so that more dogs and cats can be saved. Our entire effort, and every single animal saved, is because of volunteers!
There are many ways that you can help us succeed in our mission of saving animals!
Staten Island Hope would like to express a huge "Thank You" to the Petco Foundation who ran a holiday donation drive on behalf of our organization. The Petco store located at 2795 Richmond Avenue in Staten Island held this donation drive and with their fantastic staff was able to raise $1,014.34.
Staten Island Hope would like to recognize the ASPCA, in conjunction with the Maddie's Fund NYC Feline Influenza Medical Assistance, for their generosity which granted us $6,941.00 to help defer veterinarian expenses incurred for treatments related to the recent Feline Influenza outbreak in NYC.
